Pullman-Portafilter-Griff - European Elm

European Elm (Ulmus carpinifolia) is exclusively at home in the northern hemisphere and today has its largest occurrences in the forests of southern Germany and Switzerland. The stocks are severely decimated by the Dutch elm disease, so that this wood is rarely found today.

The wood is light brown to chocolate brown, darkens in the light with distinctive individual grains and has similar strength properties to oak. 

It is used in classic furniture and toy construction and is perfectly suited as a tamper, portafilter and chisel handle.

Clean gently with a soft, damp cloth. The hardwood handles are very popular and provide a great contrast to stainless steel machines and worktops.
