The new BigStep A LITTLE: the lightweight of the high-end tamper

With the BigStep Lite, we have succeeded in reducing the weight of the BigStep with the same performance. At 136.5 g, the Lite is only 10 grams heavier than the Titanium, but is much cheaper. At the same time, the height of the tamper has been reduced to an incredible 9mm - which allows for more comfortable tamping with higher dosages. All features that make up the 'normal BigStep' are of course retained:

The BigStep: Patented accuracy of fit, the best materials and high-quality craftsmanship make the high-end tamper from Pullman the most popular tool among professional baristas around the world.

The BigStep is the non-plus-ultra among tampers and has not won countless titles at barista and latte art championships for nothing. But the BigStep is also very popular in the home sector.

Thanks to the patented step, which enables a diameter of 58.55 mm with extremely low tolerances of +/- 0.02 mm, the big step fits exactly into the precision screens specially made for the Pullman system and thus prevents any channeling from the outset .

The result is an extremely even puck that is optimally compressed even at the edges of the basketes. Only the patented 'Step' enables this maximum surface coverage, it ensures that despite the extreme fit of the tamper base to the basket, no vacuum is created when lifting after tamping.

This makes the BigStep the tamper with the largest diameter and the largest surface coverage on the market.

Extremely high-quality 440C stainless steel ensures freedom from wear and the best material properties.

Danger:
Pullman cannot control the wide range of different inner diameters in many brands and weight ratings of precision screens.
Therefore, we cannot guarantee that the BigStep is compatible with third-party baskets.
We therefore strongly recommend purchasing Pullman Filtration Baskets. These are perfectly adapted to the BigStep base and checked by hand.

Pullman Barista Griff - Australian Oak LONG

The most popular hardwood grips are now also available in the ultra-stylish long version - for baristas who prefer a completely natural feel and can do without the compression zone. The 'Langen Baristas' are turned by hand from one piece and match the design (and the functionality!) goes particularly well with the BigStep A LITTLE bases - at least that's what we think.

Australian Oak (Grevillea robusta) is a deciduous tree up to 40m high, native to the east coast of Australia. The Australian (silver) oak is often used in furniture construction due to its resistance to wood rot.

The pink-red hardwood with a medium-dense grain is striking. This leads to a natural stain pattern on the vertical surfaces of the handle.

Australian Oak has a beautiful, natural feel, is very warm and pleasant to the touch and is ideal for a natural tamper feel.

Easy to clean with a soft, damp cloth. The hardwood handles are very popular and provide a great contrast to stainless steel machines and worktops.
