Blackwood (Acacia melanoxylon ) Botanically, the species belongs to Acacia melanoxylon to the genus of acacia. Blackwood is primarily found in Tasmania.

The heartwood is light brown to reddish-dark brown with distinctive markings. 
It is a high-quality wood for indoor and outdoor use, in boat building, and as wood for turning.

Easy to clean with a damp cloth.
